How We Partner

Partnering to Preserve and Strengthen Local Health Care

Over the past several years, we’ve seen more and more small, community providers, hospitals and senior care organizations questioning whether they can transform their operations, remain financially viable and keep their doors open. Sadly, some have made the difficult decision to close.

At Covenant Health, we understand the tough choices leadership teams and board members are faced with each and every day. In fact, our Covenant Health family of organizations was founded in 1986 to ensure longstanding community health care providers could preserve their identity and legacy while gaining access to the pool of resources and expertise they need to survive and thrive in a rapidly evolving and increasingly complex health care marketplace. It is important to know that Covenant Health partners with historically Catholic organizations and organizations who do not identify with the Catholic faith.

Ways We Partner

At Covenant Health, we don’t believe in a one-size fits all approach. Our partnerships are as unique as the organizations and communities with which we serve. Although we are providing an overview of our different forms of partnership, we invite and encourage you to engage us in a conversation about your organization’s unique needs.

“It’s an honor to become a part of Covenant Health’s family of three hospitals and 12 skilled nursing and senior living facilities,” says Nichi Farnham, president of Bangor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center’s community-led board of directors. “We look forward to continuing to provide the compassionate and comprehensive care to our residents that has consistently earned us above-average ratings for quality and staffing from the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS).
