Bangor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center (BRNC) was founded by the Bangor city fathers in 1827 and has a long and storied history of serving greater Bangor’s residents. In 1969, the facility which had been operation as a hospital, relocated to the former Dow Air Force Base. The Air Force deeded the building to the city of Bangor, providing an excellent venue to better serve the long-term care needs of the community. Today, BRNC is a member of Covenant Health, New England’s largest non-profit post-acute care provider. It is a 60-bed, licensed, non-profit community committed to the health and well-being of the whole person, providing exceptional skilled nursing care, both for long-term and short-term stays, as well as memory care for residents in private and semi-private rooms. Our interdisciplinary and skilled team focuses on personalized, compassionate care for our patients, residents and families.

As the only Catholic nursing home in York County, Maine, St. André–in faithfulness to its mission–welcomes people in need of healing and care who are elderly and/or disabled. We provide the support and guidance members of our community need to make informed decisions about the care needs of their loved ones.

Mount St. Rita Health Centre is situated atop the hill on Sumner Brown Road in the northeast community of Cumberland. Set among 240 acres of rolling hills, wooded glades and colorful gardens, our three-story brick building offers our patients and residents the beauties of the rural countryside.
Building on a tradition of excellence that has been our hallmark for more than 40 years, Mount St. Rita Health Centre offers not only the highest quality nursing and clinical care, but also an outstanding quality of life. We provide short-term rehabilitation services as part of our Mercy Rehabilitation program and long-term care, along with engaging social activities.

In 1988, Fanny Allen Holdings (formerly Fanny Allen Hospital, Hotel Dieu) and Corporation became a member of Covenant Health, a Catholic not-for-profit health system. In 1995, Fanny Allen Hospital merged with University Health Center, Medical Hospital of Vermont (formerly Mary Fletcher Hospital and the DeGoesbraind Hospital), to become Fletcher Allen Health Care (now UVM Medical Center).The Fanny Allen Corporation continues the mission of the R.H.S.J. in the community by making grants to nonprofit organizations in Vermont that reflect the compassion of Christ in their service to people who are sick and poor.
