The Mary Immaculate (MI) Guild, Inc., a community service organization that supports Mary Immaculate’s Nursing/Restorative Center’s Mission to provide healing and care for the whole person in service to all in our communities, presented a $10,000 donation to the Center to further support memory care at its recent annual meeting.
“This $10,000 gift, a very significant contribution, was raised exclusively through the collection of Guild membership dues, which I’m very proud of,” shares Joseph Bourque, the MI Guild’s President who has deep Lawrence roots. “Since becoming President, I have done my best to focus on increasing the Guild’s visibility in the community, which helps drives awareness and new memberships. Dues are the lifeblood of the organization – 100% of membership dues fund our annual gift to help fulfill Mary lmmaculate’s goals.”
The Guild presents a gift to the Ml Nursing/Restorative Center annually. Last year’s gift of $5,000 was allocated to an advanced redesign of the memory care unit, while this year’s $10,000 gift will help the unit to double its current capacity. Research proves that a beautiful and well-designed physical environment enhances a person’s ability to focus on healing and may even speed recovery.
